The eighth edition of “El Festivalito” will be held on the island of La Palma from 11th to 16th May, 2009. Its main venue will be Los LLanos de Aridane, where most of the activities will take place and the guests will be accommodated.

The programme of activities is designed to please absolutely everyone, from the most demanding to those who are simply looking for a bit of fun: film shooting, screenings and parallel activities.

SHOOTING
This will occur throughout the week all over the island of La Palma.
The organisation will invite a group of actors and directors of recognised prestige to take on the challenge of writing, shooting, editing and presenting a piece of work during the festival.
All actors, actresses, directors, technicians and enthusiasts are welcome to participate if they wish.
All they have to do is contact the organization.

SCREENINGS
These will be held in Multicines Millenium in Los LLanos de Aridane, in high schools of La Palma, in senior citizens´centres, and in the café/bar Cinemascopa.
Feature films and shorts; fiction, documentary, animation and experimental; online cinema and webisodes….

The Inauguration Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony will be held in Los LLanos de Aridane.

PARALLEL ACTIVITIES
DIGITAL CAMPUS WORKSHOPS will take place in both the Cajacanarias hall and the Hotel Marítimo.

The DIGITAL FORUM will be based in Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita, in  Los Llanos de Aridane
Throughout the week, there will be excursions to various parts of the island, offering the chance to see its varied landscapes, and to get to know its people and gastronomic culture.

The ROCK CONCERTS will take place during the inauguration and closure at the café/bar Terraza Cinemascopa.

FESTIVALITO JOVEN (Festival for the young) offers all those activities especially put together to satisfy the minds of inquisitive adolescents: shooting, screenings in high schools, in Multicines Millenium,; screenings and workshops.


Once this great week of “El Festivalito” is over, the TOUR FESTIVALITO 2009-2010 will begin.
On this tour, we will take a sample, of all the shorts and feature films made on the island of La Palma, to the main towns and cities in the Canary Islands and further afield to the rest of the world, anywhere we may be invited.
