“El Festivalito” is a film festival for all those who opt, not only for a new type of cinematographic contest, but also for a new way of making, seeing and understanding cinema.

In each edition, the various activities are programmed with the aim of reliving Van Gogh´s dream: screenings on the beach, in the volcano, in the theatre, in cinemas, in senior citizens´centres, in high schools, the shooting of feature films and shorts, workshops, debate forums and inauguration and closing ceremonies.
Thanks to its festival agenda, “El Festivalito” is more than just your average cinema festival and, since its first edition, it has become a campsite and laboratory for cinematographic creation.

It is held each year in the Canary Islands, on the island of La Palma. This week spent among people, in a happy, no-red-carpet, carefree environment, makes “El Festivalito” a unique experience not to be missed.

Spectators of any age, guest artists, surprise artists, all those who participate in this experience, always want to return. And for those of you who haven’t been yet, the truth is, we don’t know what you are waiting for, just to be told about it again and again?
